What was Gods Solution to Mans Sin?
There had to be someone without sin that would "stand in the place of," or be a "substitute" for the human race. No one was eligible.
Every human being on every continent, of every race, and of every creed was contaminated by sin.
You see, just as one thief cannot go to jail for another thief or a murderer cannot be punished on behalf of another murderer, so one sinner cannot take the punishment of another sinner.
Now we come to the very core of the message. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
God could have turned His back on humanity. He could have said, "I gave Adam and Eve an opportunity not to sin and they blew it, so forget about them all."
The "good news" is that God is love. His love caused Him to make a way for man to come back into peace, fellowship, and friendship with God. Therefore He needed a sinless substitute.
