OF CHRIST SCRIPTURES
OF CHRIST SCRIPTURES . . .
Romans 7:4
Likewise, my brethren, you have undergone death as to
the Law through the [crucified] body of Christ, so that now you may
belong to Another, to Him Who was raised from the dead in order that we
may bear fruit for God.
Romans 8:9
But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are
living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really]
dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not
possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not
belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God].
Romans 10:17
So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is
heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips]
of Christ (the Messiah Himself).
1 Corinthians 2:16
For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels
and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him
knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the
thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.
1 Corinthians 6:15
Do you not see and know that your bodies are members
(bodily parts) of Christ (the Messiah)? Am I therefore to take the
parts of Christ and make [them] parts of a prostitute? Never! Never!
1 Corinthians 10:16
The cup of blessing [of wine at the Lord's Supper] upon
which we ask [God's] blessing, does it not mean [that in drinking it]
we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the blood of
Christ (the Messiah)? The bread which we break, does it not mean [that
in eating it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in
the body of Christ?
2 Corinthians 2:15
For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales]
unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among
those who are perishing.
2 Corinthians 5:14
For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us,
because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for
all, then all died.
Ephesians 3:19
[That you may really come] to know [practically, through
experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere
knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all
your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure
of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded
with God Himself]!
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ
rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling
with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful
state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called
[to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God
always].
2 Thessalonians 3:5
May the Lord direct your hearts into [realizing and
showing] the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of
Christ and in waiting for His return.
Hebrews 9:14
How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by
virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality]
has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our
consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the
[ever] living God?
1 Peter 4:1
So, since Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you,
arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer
rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh
[having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped
pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God].
2 Peter 1:8
For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound
in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the
[full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the
Anointed One).
1 John 3:24
All who keep His commandments [who obey His orders and
follow His plan, live and continue to live, to stay and] abide in Him,
and He in them. [They let Christ be a home to them and they are the
home of Christ.] And by this we know and understand and have the proof
that He [really] lives and makes His home in us: by the [Holy] Spirit
Whom He has given us.
2 John 1:9
Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in
the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what He taught] does
not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching)
of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.
