Laying Hands on the Sick. Mark 16:15-18 says, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Did you know that signs and wonders always follow believers? It doesn't say that signs and wonders follow doubters. If you are a believer, signs of God's power, goodness, and glory should follow you."

I'm a believer. Therefore, I don't run around the country trying to be apart of everyone's miracle service. I'm a miracle going somewhere to happen! If you've got a devil in you, that devil can be cast out in the name of Jesus!

Let the devil know he has no dominion or authority over you. When he confronts a born-again, Holy Ghost filled, anointed Child of God who uses the name of Jesus and believes what the Word says, the devil has to leave and take back to hell all the junk he brought with him.

Now let me be very clear about picking up serpents. Don't! Just because this Scripture mentions taking up snakes doesn't mean that we purposely do it. God does not require that you prove your faith to anyone. If you're a believer, it will be evident by the signs that follow you.

Don't try to convince people that you're a believer by having a snake service at church! There are actually churches where snakes are used to see who gets bitten. Apparently, those that aren't bitten have great faith.

That's not faith, that's foolishness! Picking up snakes is not how you determine whether or not you Have faith. You can test your faith everyday by challenging yourself to live by the Word of God.

Every decision you make in line with the Bible is an indication that you're passing the test. Part of my faith confession is that I lay hands on the sick and they recover. I certainly don't look to outward manifestations, like being slain in the spirit, to determine whether it works.

A person doesn't have to fall out to be healed by the laying on of hands. The evidence of healing being manifested is not in the person's reaction to the method-it's in the results!

When the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus' garment and she was instantly healed in Luke 8:43-48, she didn't fall out. When He noticed that virtue had left Him, He simply turned around and asked, "Who touched me?"

Because when faith meets up with the anointing the evidence of the manifestation is results, not necessarily reaction. of course, had she fallen out, He would have looked on the ground and said, "Oh, she must be the one who touched me." It would have been very obvious.

Likewise, Jesus has anointed me to get results when I lay hands on someone. My hands are anointed to heal those in need of healing. Before you start thinking, "Who does he think he is," hear this: I know whose I am. When I lay hands, Jesus lays hands as well.

Wherever I go, God's hands are right there. And with His hands on my hands, and vice-versa, we are in agreement. I am absolutely convinced that the reason some people don't recover is simply because they don't want to recover.

There have been times that I have laid hands on people and the power of God flowed right out of me into them, but it was evident that they didn't connect with the anointing that left me. I've seen people stand there like big rocks and miss their healing, because they were busy feeling sorry for themselves.

Before they came up, they made up in their minds that nothing was going to happen. If you're not ready to believe God whole-heartedly, it's a waste of your energy to go to the altar.

The anointing is powerful.It can literally become so heavy on a person that it becomes transferable. Acts 19:11,12, AMP And God did unusual and extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.

Child of God, it's one thing to read it, but it's quite another to experience what this Scripture is talking about.

The anointing of God is stronger than any sickness or disease and it can work through anybody and anything God sees fit to use. Glory to God!
