Lamb of God
and Abundance
The Lamb of God and Abundance. Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief
cometh not, but for to
steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Ask yourself this question, when does the thief come to
steal from us, when does he come to kill us and destroy us? Does he do
it here on this earth or in Heaven?
The threat of the thief is now,
right here in this earth, and that is why Jesus came to give us peace
right now, and life abundantly right now. Jesus is our Shepherd right
now, leading us into the abundance of the Kingdom of God right now.
So what exactly does it mean to have an abundant life in
the Lamb of God right now? It means health, for Jesus bore our sins and
sicknesses and diseases on the Cross and by His stripes we were healed.
It means to have knowledge, for we have been given the Holy Spirit to
teach us all things. It means to have peace, for Jesus has left us His
peace. It means to be filled with joy, because Jesus has given us His
joy, so that our joy may be full.
It means to be glorified, because
Jesus has given us His glory. It means to live without fear, for we
have not been given a spirit of fear, but one of love and peace, and in
Christ we have a sound mind.
It means to know what God's will is for
us, for we are no longer servants, but friends of Jesus. It means to be
one with God as Jesus is One with God, because Jesus is now within us.
It means that we are now strong in the power of God's might, because
greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
And if you look up the word that abundantly is
translated from in the Greek, you will see that we have all of this
things supremely, we have more than what is necessary, much more than
all.
We have them all exceedingly abundant, given us the pre-eminence,
the superiority, and given us the clear advantage. (Strong's 4053) And
that is why all things now work together for our good and that is why
we are more than conquerors through Christ Who loves us!
Heaven will be
great, and eternity with the Lamb of God is awesome, but that eternity
began when we were chosen and called and some of that time is here on
this earth!
