And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed
clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the

beneficial deeds.
Titus 3:7
[And He did it in order] that we might be justified by
His grace (by His favor, wholly undeserved), [that we might be

according to [our] hope.
Hebrews 2:9-11
v. 9 But
we are able to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a
little while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having

us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person.
v. 10 For
it was an act worthy [of God] and fitting [to the divine nature] that

salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience
necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest]
through suffering.

our confession [of faith in Him].
v. 15 For
we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize
and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and
liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted
in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
v. 16 Let
us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne
of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we
may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good

ministry which is as much superior and more excellent [than the old] as

rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises.
Hebrews 9:24, 28
v. 24
For Christ (the Messiah) has not entered into a sanctuary made with
[human] hands, only a copy and pattern and type of the true one, but

presence of God on our behalf.
v. 28
Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and
bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a
second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but
to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and
patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.

not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down
(relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The
Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or
dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?

so that you should follow in His footsteps.

sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
1 Peter 3:18
For Christ [the Messiah Himself] died for sins once for

His will in purpose, thought, and action].
1 John 2:1
My little children, I write you these things so that you
may not violate God's law and sin. But if anyone should sin, we have an

will in every purpose, thought, and action].
1 John 3:2
Beloved, we are [even here and] now God's children; it

resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is.

whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the
victory that conquers the world, even our faith.

is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who
believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and
relies on that fact]?

v. 11 And

who possesses the Son has that life; he who does not possess the Son of
God does not have that life.

v. 5 And
from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn

all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood,

formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priests to His God and
